Dr. Jay Patel
Board-Certified Dentist Anesthesiologist
Dr. Jay Patel is a New Jersey native with a deep commitment to making dentistry more comfortable and accessible for every patient. He began his academic journey at Rutgers University on an academic scholarship, later earning his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine—where he discovered his passion for anesthesiology.
He went on to complete his anesthesia residency at NYU Langone Hospital – Brooklyn, a Level 1 trauma center, where he gained extensive experience across all levels of anesthesia care. Following his training, Dr. Patel became board-certified by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, a distinction that reflects his dedication to clinical excellence and patient safety.
For over a decade, Dr. Patel has served dental practices across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, bringing hospital-grade anesthesia services directly to the dental office. He specializes in treating pediatric patients, individuals with special needs, and those with severe dental anxiety—ensuring every patient receives care in a way that feels calm, safe, and respectful.
In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys watching movies, golfing, cheering on his favorite sports teams, and exploring new destinations with his wife and two young children.
Dr. Aidan Gallagher
Dentist Anesthesiologist & Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Aidan Gallagher began his education at the same institution he would later complete his training, the University of Pittsburgh. From there, he went on to the University of Maryland School of Dentistry with the goal of becoming a pediatric dentist. Upon graduation, he was given an opportunity to pursue that goal at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children where he completed a 2-year residency in pediatric dentistry. As part of his residency at St. Christopher’s, Dr. Gallagher completed 100+ oral rehabilitation cases under general anesthesia in the operating room which helped him better understand the need for sedation and anesthesia services in dentistry. This led to him applying and being accepted to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dentistry’s dentist anesthesiologist residency.
During his anesthesia residency, Dr. Gallagher spent much of his time rotating between sedating dental patients at the University of Pittsburgh and anesthetizing patients for a wide variety of procedures in UPMC affiliated operating rooms.
Dr. Gallagher was born and raised near Philadelphia and is excited to be serving the region where he grew up. He works with dentists in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is dedicated to delivering top quality and safe sedation services. Dr. Gallagher is committed to bringing the best of both aspects of his training to the office when he works with you or your child. His experience as a pediatric dentist and as a dentist anesthesiologist will ensure that you/your child’s experience is pleasant, safe, and seamless from the time you meet him to when you head home.
In his spare time, Dr. Gallagher loves to play board games, is always looking for live music to see, and enjoys exploring the city looking for anywhere with outdoor seating with his wife and his dog.

Registered Nurse & Office Administrator
Ami brings over 14 years of healthcare experience to her dual role as both our in-house nurse and office administrator. With a background in inpatient nursing and insurance case management, Ami offers a unique blend of clinical expertise and operational precision that helps our practice run smoothly.
When she’s not in the office, Ami enjoys trying new cuisines, cooking, and spending quality time with her husband and children.
Jennifer
Patient Care Coordinator
Jennifer has been an essential part of Dental Sedation Services since the very beginning. As our dedicated Patient Care Coordinator, she oversees all aspects of preoperative planning—making sure each patient feels informed, prepared, and supported every step of the way. Known for her thoroughness and exceptional attention to detail, Jennifer helps streamline the patient experience with care and precision. Her calm, organized approach ensures a smooth process for both patients and providers alike.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys baking, spending time with her husband and children, and relaxing with her two fur babies.
Carolina
Administrative Coordinator
Since joining Dental Sedation Services in 2023, Carolina has been a vital part of our front-office team. She plays a key role in patient onboarding, insurance claims, and keeping administrative operations running smoothly.
Carolina is known for her detail-oriented approach and ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Whether she’s assisting a new patient or supporting a teammate, she brings a can-do attitude and a genuine eagerness to help wherever she’s needed.
Outside of work, Carolina enjoys watching movies, fine dining, and spending time with her son.
Tara
Patient Care Coordinator
Tara has been an integral part of Dental Sedation Services, known for her commitment to creating a seamless patient experience. From new patient onboarding to behind-the-scenes follow-up and coordination, Tara ensures no detail is missed.
As a healthcare professional and busy toddler mom, Tara brings empathy and clear communication to every interaction. Outside of the office, Tara enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors with her family, and never turns down a great Italian meal.
